PENN STATE WOMEN'S CLUB VOLLEYBALL

Our organization works to make everyone a better volleyball player and, more importantly, a better person. Club volleyball gives students a group of friends and a team to spend time with on and off the volleyball court. As players, students have the chance to travel to other colleges for tournaments, participate in community service events, and be heavily involved with the Penn State Dance Marathon, THON. THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, and it works to raise money to enhance the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer.

Our volleyball mission is to enhance an individual’s volleyball skills, while collectively working to capture a place in the gold division at the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF) Tournament. This year, our team will be traveling to multiple tournaments along the East Coast as well as flying to Nationals in Phoenix, AZ in April. In 2018, our B team won the National Championship for the gold division. In 2019, our A team placed 5th overall in the gold bracket for Division 1.

Every season is a great experience for all members and it gives all team members memories and friends to last a lifetime. We are putting in more effort and energy than ever before. We are ready to be National Champions once again and show the country what we can do. We are very excited to travel and compete in many elite tournaments.

Nationals is a wonderful experience, but it is very expensive with flights, hotels, tournament registration fees, and more. It is our hope to raise money to offset the expenses we will incur on our trip to Nationals. This will allow us to focus our efforts on sharpening our skills and obtaining the end goal: a National Championship. With every contribution, you can help a current member or a future member be more at ease financially on this trip that our club is so lucky to participate in. We can't thank you enough for the support and the opportunity to help Penn State Women’s Club Volleyball achieve their goals and have an amazing experience all season long.
